LIFE CASTING WITH MICHAEL COPPAGE
Fire Lab is part of the creative team bringing artist, Michael Coppage's "12 Commandments" series of bronze statues to life. Jamie and Zach did life castings of Michael in various poses and made waxes for the lost wax bronze casting process. The first sculpture in the series appeared at Art Basel in Miami, and the first three were most recently on display in the Truth & Healing Artist Showcase at the Freedom Center. There are nine more bronze sculptures to come in this powerful commentary on police brutality.

With a TeachArts Ohio grant, Jamie taught students at the School of Creative and Performing Arts, a Cincinnati Public School, how to make self portrait tiles in a two-week slip casting tutorial.
